Jizmo is one of the most unique cats I have ever seen. Every one who has met him has fallen instantly in love with him.
He is one of the sweetest animals, very kid friendly. You can tug on him and hold him, he will even come to you when you call him.
Jizmo is so friendly he will often come up to people whom he does not even know just to meet them.
He has always craved attention in his own way and has always been dedicated to making sure he got it.
One of the funniest things he does is what I call his gorilla stomp. When our dog Lucy is around Jizmo will puff up his chest and start stomping his front paws on the ground, followed by a little gorilla like walk. Every time I see him do this it makes me laugh. He chases our dog all around our apartment and you'll often find them sleeping together or sharing their water bowl. If some one is feeling bad, sick, or upset Jizmo is always by their side.

On November 9th, 2009 he had some minor swelling under his right eye, nothing to major. I took him to the vet to be checked out. Our vet recommended removal of 2 teeth that had caused an abscess in his mouth.
Monday November 16th, 2009 we took him in for his pre surgery blood work.
On November 17, 2009 we brought Jizmo back to the vet for his surgery. At 11:36 AM he was diagnosed with Chronic Renal Failure.

Finding out this news hit me like a brick. I thought no way, he's only 9 years old he's to young. I immediately started thinking oh god I'm going to have to put him down. The thought of losing one of my pets had never even come into my mind before this. This really shattered a piece of my heart. The pain and confusion set in very quick. The thoughts of what, how, why, when, did this happen started. We picked up Jizmo at 5:17 PM on November 17, 2009.

After losing Jizmo and Piglet this year I have decided on a new business venture. I have always loved animals since I was a kid so in September 2010 I started My Pet Guy to work with animals on a daily basis. As being a pet owner the loss of part of my family has made me realize that it is time to do what I truly enjoy and that is working with animals.
